We all go through low phases in our lives and sometimes, it gets difficult to overcome them successfully. Recently, Lataa Saberwal opened up about the same and shared how she sailed through difficult times in her journey.
In a video shared on Instagram, the actor said, “Whenever we are going through a low phase, be it financial or personal or professional, we are told to increase our confidence. But sometimes, it just doesn’t happen. When I used to go through any of these phases, I used to try to instil confidence in myself. I would find it very difficult and forced.”
As such, Lataa devised her own practices to help fight these low phases. “Firstly, I settled for imperfections. If I couldn’t go to the gym, I would walk. If I didn’t feel like eating healthy all the time, I would eat healthy at least one time,” she said.
She also indulged in mindfulness practices to remain calm and positive. “Since I believe a lot in mantra-jaap, prayers, and meditation really helped me. So you can practise anything which gives you positivity and makes you feel good,” she said.
Emphasising the importance of having friends around in such phases, Lataa added, “Also, I don’t have words to thank my friends who always stood by me. So keep meeting your friends and staying connected to them. Sharing things with them is one of the best practices I feel. Last but not least, if you need medical help, please don’t hesitate.”
We reached out to Dr HP Bharathi, deputy chief medical officer, Jindal Naturecure Institute who emphasised that life is a journey filled with ups and downs, and at times, we all find ourselves facing challenging and low phases.
“These moments can be emotionally taxing and overwhelming, but it’s important to remember that they are a normal part of the human experience,” she said, sharing some ways to navigate and overcome these low phases, emerging stronger and more resilient.
